Two Trips to Kennewick

I took a weekend trip to Kennewick on the 16th while Ily and Isaac were in Utah for Cousin Allison’s and friend Cinda’s weddings. Then we all took a trip to Kennewick on the 25th so Isaac could see Aunt Melinda one more time before she left for another semester at the BYU. We had a little birthday party for Isaac while we were there with my family and Arthur, Sara, and Ezri. His birthday is September 5th and is two years old! Pictures here.

California Adventure

We took a four day weekend and met our friend Mike and Nikki Trionfo, and Nikki’s parents and younger siblings, at the Lava Beds National Monument in Northern Calinfornia. We camped, explored lava flows and caves, and learned some geology. Isaac enjoyed playing in the dirt most. We also drove over to the coast and camped amongst the Redwoods our last night there. In the morning we hiked “Damnation Trial” through the forest and down to the ocean. It was a beautiful hike (don’t let the name fool you)! We had a blast, and of course, we have pictures.

Oregon Coast Trip

Hewlett Packard closed for the week of the Fourth of July, so we decided we better make the most of it. Ily found us a nice beach house to rent in Lincoln City on the Oregon coast. My parents joined us and we had a nice relaxing time playing in the sand and seeing the aquarium in Newport. See the photos here!

First pictures from Vancouver!

I’ve posted a few last pictures from Provo and our first roll or film from Vancouver this summer. Most of these pictures were taken at the the new Esther Short Park here. It has this great fountain for kids to play in and Isaac has a fun time there. There is also a picture with Julie in front of the house in Kennewick, and one of the Horrocks family who dropped by because they were in town for Chad’s brother’s wedding.

With Winter Semester over, the Murdocks head back to Vancouver

After being told by numerous interviewers that my planned August graduation was at an akward time I finally decided to postpone it and do another internship. I called my manager at HP from last summer and he said sure, come on back. So we did. The move went smoothly and we are enjoying it here in the rainy northwest again. We will be here for 8 months this time. Just long enough for me to really get used to not being in school before I have to go back.
